Surallah Sports Complex

I will keep this short because I am still annoyed. We booked two courts for a birthday game, paid the full amount by GCash the same evening, and got a confirmation. When we arrived there was another group already playing on both courts who had booked directly with the caretaker and knew nothing about us. Nobody from the host was reachable on the number in the listing. Eleven of us stood around for half an hour and then went home. The money came back four days later after I chased it twice. I do not doubt this is a nice place to play when it works, but a double booking on a paid reservation is the one thing that has to not happen.

Turned up for a booking we had paid for and the court was still soaked from the afternoon rain. Nobody had told us, and there was no way to tell from the listing that the court is open to the sky. We waited about forty minutes, gave up, and went home. To be fair the money was returned the next day without an argument, which is the only reason this is not a one, but a message an hour beforehand would have saved four people a trip across town.

Perfectly decent court, badly let down by the toilets, which were locked the whole time we were there and nobody could find the key. With a two hour booking and eight people that is a real problem, and the nearest alternative is a five minute walk. The playing surface itself is one of the better ones around here and the price is fair, so this is a three rather than a two, but it is the kind of thing that decides whether a group comes back.

Good value and the ball machine hire is genuinely useful if you are trying to fix something in your game rather than just play. Booked the machine for an hour on top of the court and it was set up and charged when we arrived. Only reason this is not a five is that there is one machine and it gets claimed early on weekends, so if that is why you are coming you need to book well ahead.

Booked at short notice on a Sunday morning and had a reply within the hour. Turned up to find the court already open and swept. What stood out was that the booking was for a specific court rather than just a slot, so there was no confusion when another group arrived at the same time as us. We played two hours, nobody rushed us, and the whole thing cost about what one of us would spend on lunch.
