General Paulino Santos Covered Court

I will keep this short because I am still annoyed. We booked two courts for a birthday game, paid the full amount by GCash the same evening, and got a confirmation. When we arrived there was another group already playing on both courts who had booked directly with the caretaker and knew nothing about us. Nobody from the host was reachable on the number in the listing. Eleven of us stood around for half an hour and then went home. The money came back four days later after I chased it twice. I do not doubt this is a nice place to play when it works, but a double booking on a paid reservation is the one thing that has to not happen.

Turned up for a booking we had paid for and the court was still soaked from the afternoon rain. Nobody had told us, and there was no way to tell from the listing that the court is open to the sky. We waited about forty minutes, gave up, and went home. To be fair the money was returned the next day without an argument, which is the only reason this is not a one, but a message an hour beforehand would have saved four people a trip across town.

Good courts let down by the entrance. The gate is not marked and the pin in the map takes you round the back of the building, so we spent ten minutes of our booking walking in circles and asking people. Once we found it everything was fine and the staff were apologetic. If they fix the directions this is an easy four.

Really good surface and the lighting after dark is better than most places around here. My only complaint is that it gets very busy from about 6pm onwards, and if you turn up hoping to squeeze in without booking you will be waiting a long time. There is also only one bench near the court, so the group waiting for the next game ends up standing around the edge. None of that stops me coming back, it just means you should book ahead and bring a chair if you are making an evening of it.

Booked the 6pm slot for four of us and it was the easiest court hire I have done here. The nets were already up, the lines are painted on properly rather than taped down, and nobody had to be chased to open the gate. The surface has a bit of grip so you can actually move without sliding, and the lights came on the moment it got dark. We ran three games of doubles and finished exactly on time because the court next to us started on the hour too. I would book this again without thinking about it.
